NBCA AUXILIARIES
SENIOR WOMEN’S MISSIONARY UNION
The goals of the Senior Women’s Missionary Union
are Kingdom Building, Mission, Evangelism, Christian
Education and Benevolence. The objectives are to win
souls to Christ, to promote family worship and demonstrate
Christian conduct in speech and dress; to engage daily
in prayer and Bible study; to conduct in-depth study
of the mission messages in the Word; observe the scheduled
seasons of prayer, and use literature written, approved,
produced and published by the NBCA, Inc.; enlist community
residents in active religious work, religiously educate
our children, systematically support NBCA, Inc. as
a corporate union and individually through the Covenant
Action Plan (CAP); be tithers in the local church;
initiate a special missions project annually, and
align all Plans of Work in concert with the NBCA,
Inc.
WOMEN’S INTERMEDIATE AUXILIARY
The goal of the Women’s Intermediate Auxiliary
is to support the ministry of the Convention and the
church through evangelism, discipleship, and mission.
The objectives include winning souls to Christ, promoting
family worship and demonstrating Christian conduct
in speech and dress, engaging in daily prayer and
Bible study, conducting in-depth study of the missionary
messages in the Word, witnessing and fellowshipping
with other Christians, using literature written, approved,
produced and published by NBCA, Inc.; religiously
educating our children; systematically supporting
NBCA, Inc. corporately and individually through the
Covenant Action Plan (CAP); becoming tithers in the
local church; be financially accountable to NBCA,
Inc. as a corporate group for receipt of revenue and
expenses incurred; undertaking a special mission project
annually, and aligning all Plans of Work in concert
with the NBCA, Inc.
JUNIOR WOMEN’S AUXILIARY
The goal of the Junior Women’s Auxiliary is
to promote a renewed commitment to a fuller knowledge
of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior through positive
motivation of Christian womanhood. The objectives
include winning souls to Christ, promoting family
worship and demonstrating Christian conduct in speech
and dress; engaging in daily prayer and Bible study,
conducting in-depth study of the missionary messages
in the Word, witnessing and fellowshipping with other
Christians; using literature written, approved, produced,
and published by NBCA, Inc.; religiously educating
our children; systematically supporting NBCA, Inc.
corporately and individually through the Covenant
Action Plan (CAP); becoming tithers in the local church;
be financially accountable to NBCA, Inc. as a corporate
group for receipt of revenue and expenses incurred;
undertaking a special mission project (home or abroad)

NATIONAL BAPTIST BROTHERHOOD UNION
The goal of the National Baptist Brotherhood Union
is to win lost souls to Jesus Christ and build up
the Church as the Body of Christ. The objectives
include winning souls to Christ through evangelism,
mission, education; developing a cadre of Christian
men who are committed to training for leadership;
intense and in-depth recruitment of committed churchmen
who are willing to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ
beyond the church walls through a study of the Word,
prayer, special laymen’s studies, and the
nurturing of boys and young men in the Christian
faith; to become biblical teachers in the local
church; demonstrate Christian conduct in speech
and dress; provide the mature role model for African-American
men; using the literature written and published
by NBCA, Inc. specifically for the brotherhood;
supporting NBCA, Inc. systematically as a corporate
union and individually through the Covenant Action
Plan (CAP); undertaking a special brotherhood project
annually; becoming financially accountable to NBCA,
Inc. as a corporate group for receipt of revenue
and expenses incurred; and aligning all Plans of
Work in concert with the NBCA, Inc.
MEN ON CHRISTIAN ASSIGNMENT (MOCA)
The objectives of the Men On Christian Assignment
are to rightly divide the word of truth through
Bible Study for church membership and training,
evangelism, mission and education; to emphasize
the man’s role in leadership of his own home
and family; and provide Christian leadership training
that the Men On Christian Assignment should be able
to accept positive and progressive leadership for
Christ in home, church and the community.
HEALTH AWARENESS TEAM (HAT)
The Health Awareness Team as an integral part of
the National Baptist Convention of America, Incorporated,
is a humanitarian service-oriented group designed
to render first aid and medical assistance for all
members of NBCA, Inc. Its overall goal is to minister
to the physical needs of the family of God. Its
objectives are to render first aid and medical treatment
in the church, in the homes, at church community
functions, at the Convention and wherever cries
of human beings of the family of God need physical
attention. They are to assist in the healing process
so that persons are restored to wholeness; to provide
first aid and medical counseling for further professional
diagnosis and to remain Christian nurses rather
than Christian professionals. Additionally, they
are to participate in a daily life of prayer and
Bible Study; to foster unity among the Corps and
a unity of faith in service; to become biblical
tithers in the local church; to use the literature
written and published by NBCA, Inc.; to support
NBCA, Inc. systematically as a corporate corps and
as individuals through the Covenant Action Plan
(CAP). Finally, they are be financially accountable
to NBCA, Inc. as a corporate corps for the receipt
of revenue and expenses incurred; and to serve the
cause of education, mission, and evangelism through
the ministry of humanitarian service.
NATIONAL BAPTIST USHERS’ AUXILIARY
The goals of the National Baptist Convention of
America, Inc. Ushers’ Auxiliary is to serve
the Lord Christ, “...The servants of Christ
doing the will of God from the heart.” (Ephesians
6:6) The objectives are to develop a greater evangelistic
outreach ministry (to win souls to Christ), engage
in the prayer ministry for the Convention, each
other, our convention leaders, and weekly prayer
meeting; to become tithers in the local church;
to systematically support the NBCA, Inc. through
corporate and individual gifts through the Covenant
Action Plan (CAP); to engage in daily Bible Study
and the reading of the Word as it relates to service;
to develop a Plan of Work which is in concert with
NBCA, Inc. goals and objectives; to be financially
accountable to NBCA, Inc. for receipts of revenue
and expenses incurred; to develop teaching and training
workshops/seminars for ushers, and to provide for
Christian Education.
MINISTERS’ WIVES AND MINISTERS’ WIDOWS
Convention
The goal and objectives of the Ministers’
Wives and Ministers’ Widows Convention are:
to foster a common bond among minister’s wives
and widows to form a support system of information
and service to strengthen the ministerial family;
to provide a network of communication throughout
the Convention that seeks to offer advice and assistance
to those wives and families who are finding if difficult
to cope in their responsibilities; to increase the
enrollment for fostering stronger family ties through
enlightenment of our responsibilities; to promote
the sharing in building personal home libraries
of helpful reading materials which encourage the
strengthening of the ministerial family; to pray
daily for and with our minister-husbands as they
seek to carry out the agenda of the Kingdom and
their individual calls to the ministry; to explore
the expanding role of women in the church; to become
tithers in our local churches; to engage in leadership
training and intense study of the Word; to support
the Covenant Action Plan (CAP) individually and
collectively as a Convention; to be financially
accountable as a Convention to the NBCA, Inc. for
receipt of funds and the expenditure of funds; to
engage in seminars, workshops, and interaction with
each other and our minister husbands.
PASTORS’ & MINISTERS’ Convention
The goal of the Pastors’ and Ministers’
Convention is to seek unity and to address the critical
matters related to the task of ministry in the local
church (mission, education, evangelism) and in the
national convention. The objectives are to provide
leadership experience and training sessions for
pastors to hone their skills for more effective
ministry; to address annually a significant Christian
concern which affects the lives of church members;
to explore significant NBCA, Inc. concerns which
relate specifically to pastors and ministers; to
become tithers in the local church; to contribute
systematically as a Convention and as individuals
to the Covenant Action Plan (CAP); to support the
Convention; to use the literature written and published
by the Convention; to subscribe NBCA, Inc. Church
School Literature; to engage in the study of the
Word, daily prayer, and special pastoral/ministerial
studies; and structure all Plans of Work in concert
with NBCA, Inc. objectives.
THE BUSINESS AUXILIARY
The Business Auxiliary shall be responsible
to create networking opportunities for business
owners of the Convention to connect and collaborate
on becoming more effective. This auxiliary shall
become a resource group for small and emerging businesses
as well large and established business.
MUSIC DEPARTMENT
The Music Department shall coordinate the music
for the convention sessions. It shall also work
to promote throughout the National Baptist Convention
of America, Incorporated and its members church
music that glorifies God.
